Step Into My Office

Its not as simple as what we thought when it comes to the real world. Working lifestyle could be exciting at some state, but most of the time its kinda boring. Well maybe that's only because I'm doing internship and more like an invisible person right now in the office. Chatting online, updating blog and friendstering.

What Chemical Engineer contributed to INTEC?
INTEC provides the oil and gas industry with effective technological solutions to hydrocarbon production and transportation in the extreme depths of the world's oceans. We design deepwater pipeline and riser, long distance transmission pipeline for oil and gas service.

Its my 3rd day today, I already can feel the boringness I gonna have for this whole month. At least for now, I have nice colleages that working in this departmant. On the 1st day of work, I wasn't given anything to do. Basically just staring at the computer. 2nd day was quite fun, PIPESIM was installed in my computer. Its a software that INTEC use to design pipelines and any other network for floating system either on the ground or seabed. Its not a real work yet, more like giving me a task to get familiar with the program. Something at least!!

Hopefully I'll get more work or 'assignment' to do soon. Or else I will be stone!!

Sayonara Melbourne

Tonight I'll be flying Tiger Airway back to Malaysia! Will be touching down at Changi Airport AGAIN!! Well cause the airfare is much cheaper.

Departing from Melbourne Airport tonight at 8pm transit from Darwin at 12.30am and arriving at Changi on 4am (Singapore Time). Then have to travel all the way up to Malacca. Its a long journey back home. *Sign*

The feeling is kinda weird, somehow I started to miss Melbourne already. There's neither anything I left behind nor having the hard feeling of leaving just so gonna miss this place and the air I guess. Oh, especially my bed!keke. But I'm very excited of these trip back. Its gonna be Awesome!

Good to be back to our Home Town once a year.

Graduation 2007

RMIT Celebrating 120 years!

Not my turn yet!! Its my cousin-Robin graduated from Bachelor of Arts. Also my 2nd times attending this big events at Telstra Dome. The 1st was last year, my elder sister graduated from Bachelor of Psychology. The ceremony is boring like the same with other university. But what's so different of RMIT is, all of them graduated at the same time and it held at the stadium.
All of the hard work and times. What you got its only this sheet of 'paper'.

*Home Sweet Home*
How time flies, 2 more days I'll be flying back home. Can't describe the excitement I have now. This year gonna be great and lots of fun. Miki, my elder sister is getting married. Finally, we get to the time where my sister is going to have her own family and happiness. We love you Dajie.
Secondly, I got an offer from INTEC Engineering to have a month of internship at the company. Though internship usually take up to 3 months, I am very lucky that INTEC still accepted me to work with them. "It suppose to be a holiday Minnie, why work?" well you know, experience also to pass time. The key is, I'll be staying with my darling, Katrina at KL. We gonna have lots of shopping and gossip. Can't wait. Third, for my family and love one. Miss them soo much. Their companion and also their presence in my life. Always treasure the time with them. Last and not least, the FOOD. So so much food I'm gonna have this time. Not gonna care about my diet anymore. Extra exercise and crunches will do. Haha.

Malaysia here I come....in 2 days time!!! HOHO

Summer

What I hate about summer:
1. Hot and burning sun
2. Flies
3. Get tired easily
4. Emotional
5. Sleepless night

Overall, is not as bad as winter. Winter its too cold for goodness sake.

A month of holidays have gone, how time flies and next week I'll be flying back to my little sweet hometown. I dream and pray myself like I'm already back home.

4 years I've been living in Melbourne. Very used to the culture and way of living. Never the less, family and friends back in Malaysia remain in my heart all this time. Going back is always exciting. Not just able to see and meet up people that I miss, also the FOOD and the taste of HOME.

Back to my holidays in Melbourne. Other than work, I spend most of the time chilling at home watching movie. Holidays could be quite boring and useless. But it gives you sufficient time to learn new stuff. Say for instant, I promised a friend to learn how to make sushi early this year. Well, I do admit that the initiative is not strong enough not to blame all on the reason that I've been busy. So finally, I took a day off and kept my promise.

It wasn't that hard as I thought it is. Getting the correct ingredients are the key! And all those little tools that is necessary. =)

Holidays is the best time to catch up with friends. After all the stressful assignments and exams. Its time to play and sit together without the textbook. Again, we were so lucky to be invited by Victa NOT to his house, but his parent's restaurant in Geelong. Its about 1 hour drive from the town. Before starting the journey, we had a great badminton section. My body was so sore the next day because the lack of exercise. I always thought Geelong its a boring town with houses and trees. Once we arrived, I was so amazed by the view. Especially the seaside. I've been to many waterfront in my life but what I see right in front of me its beautiful.

Isn't it fantastic?

Yesterday, Jay Ee invited me to watch IMAX 3D with her. The sounds system its brilliant, the screen its huge, the theatre its awesome and not to mention about the movie we watched. Beowulf. Its a nice movie to watch but both of us reckon it could be pretty boring watching with 2D but I was really impressed of how 3D works. Most of the time it gives the feeling that you are so close to the screen where it almost gone into your eyes.

Ho! Ho! HO! Its Christmas time! Melbourne town its full with beautiful decoration and pack with people who are hunting for Christmas prezzies. How could I missed out? Well, even its not Xmas, it will not stop me from shopping. For myself also gifts for family n friends back home. My bf, Miki of course its getting married early next year. So for the holidays, me and my sisters are looking for dresses. Its a really hard task. Till now none of us got any dress yet.

Due to the tiredness of work this evening, its time for me to get to bed. I shall continue on my next post.

Cannot believe still, a blink of eyes its the end of the year. It seems long but can't even feel the clicking of the time passes each sec. I've been so out from my blog lately. Will give a full and complete 'report' about why! Been more than a month I abandoned it alone here. No new update not to mention any visitor would even bothered to drop by.
Hey, its holiday man! I need to chill and settle down from not being able to study for 4 months!!

The 2nd Day!!
Its suppose to be a fun day out.
Nice show, nice weather and nice companion.
It was me who came up the plan but now everything have been trashed out because of the reason that I should stayed at home rather than spending money on a festival that has it every year. Its only 20 bucks! We can earn back the money, but we could not buy back the moment.
To me, what's important and matter its NOW!
Yes, we should save for the rainy day. Imagine, you have been saving every single meal for a better living in the future by neglecting enjoying every journey and path in your life. One day you are laying down on the bed with sickness, paying your own medication. Are you thankful that you did saving, or you should have gone out to see the world more?

The world has changed. Its not what the oldies think it is like the olden time. A bird being locked will never survive when it is given the freedom to fly. Falling down its not hurtful, but never know how to stand up by your own its shameful.

That's my life. I have NO reason to blame on but myself.
NO courage to speak out to what I want.
Afraid, its all the excuse I could give. Shame on me.

I appreciate what I have. After all, it wasn't that bad as I thought.

Mooncake Day

Holiday its always good, especially when all the friends get together but not about studies. (well, we are not those nerds of course) After all the 'hard work' in Uni, finally we have a week off man! Everyone of us,well at least me, are so looking forward towards it and excited for the 2 days activities we gonna have.

The 1st Day
Very much thanks to Victa, who is so kind to spare his house for us to mess around. We can't leave without food for the day. So first we need to go market to get meat, vegetable for salads and fruits.

Turning round and round in Victoria market just to get the best food they have.

All the way to Werribe, one of the suburb that's 20 minutes drive away from the city which about the same distance from my place but we are totally out of the way. Anyway, we have plenty of time since we got up pretty early to get food from the market.
Next destination of the day, we arrived Victa's house. Its pretty a nice house, very tidy and clean.
What's lunch?
BBQ-ing - here goes our 2 master chefs demonstrating their master piece on the BBQ pan.

Lucky we have guys to do the job.

Apparently there's only 2 gals went as we know not much gals in our class. Not because we are lazy but is the matter of fact that now the era has changed. Guys will be taking the part of getting the meals done and also the house clean where the ladies just have to sit back n relax.

yumm...there's sausages, chicken wings, steak and also onions. See, guys can really do a great job in cooking.

Lunch its served kids!! Its a good shoot but guess where am I? Well, the pro photographer always have to sacrifice being in the picture. So I insisted to take another shoot.

You wouldn't wanna know where I have put the camera on.

Not only meat, Victa made delicious salads and garlic bread too. The lunch is finger licking Good!
Now our stomach its full, time to get it burns out.

Its Game Time buddies.
We named it as '28' because Dani got killed three times and everybody got so confused with all the numbers. Even an Engineering student like us, don't know the multiple of 7.
Dani 7 x 4 =28 !!
Then we have this really cool game. The Twister.

Its an easy game. Basically just need to push your enemy out from the map! Haha

Of course not dude. This is how the game should be. Twisting around with your body making sure both of your hands n legs are on the right spot.

Its Lantern/Mooncake festival today. Sadly we didn't get to eat the mooncake where Victa's friend got it all the way from M'sia too bad. But ya, nothing much really to do for the day its too cold and windy to light up the lantern during the night in Melbourne. Anyway, we really having a good fun today, and everyone its so tired after dinner. Each of us got home and have to get ready for the battle tomorrow back in uni again!!

Its a lucky number for every Chinese, that they believed it will bring fortune for them. More precisely, to be more wealthy or RICH. Everyday, people works hard to earn as much money as they can. What for? Does it bring happiness? Or it give you a peaceful life living in a much bigger house? Oh yes! Rich= Happiness
It may be for you, but it might not be mine. Depends on individual.
Definitely, money can buy anything but not everything.

This is not an issue I'm trying to bring up today.

8 hours of sleep
8 hours of work
and the rest of the 8 hours relax, play and spend time with your love's one.

Because of work, a lot of us have neglected to love.

Turning 18 is yo yo for everyone. Why? Because we can drink alcohol legally. Even though you still look like only on your 16th or super mature like a 20+. Can't run away from presenting you identity card with the serious face on it before getting yourself a drink.

Yesterday after struggling on those stupid Partial Pressure question on the tinniest table in RMIT, we headed down to cafeteria to play some card before going home (Its been like a routine for us since the semester started). We were attracted by the noise from Bowen St. Guess what its the noise??

3 guys were shaking their head till the hair covered their faces playing some music that we don't even understand what are they singing. But something cord our eyes more.

Bar? In Uni?

YES!! Its FREE beer for everyone. Of course its NOT for everyone. You have to prove your identity card which shows you are +18. ID out to get in and also a pass from them to identical you are eligible to get a drink.
Not sure what event it was. Even the school encouraging youngsters to drink beer in school?? They say its world week. But what to do with it? No idea and of course non of our business as long as we get free drink and get to cheer up after all the 'hard work'.

Anyway its weekend. We deserved it!!

Seriously, I don't know what's happening here. Somehow I was being Tagged by Vincent. Was so busy with assignment and tests in school, events and dates (haha..wished), didn't even have time to view peeps blog. Sorry to tell, but that the matter of fact. Merdeka Merdeka!!

Tanah Tumpahnya Darahku....

Oh, I'm not a very patriotic Malaysian. Who would ever care celebrating or shout Merdeka 3 times every years of today, the 31st of August!! Still, Malaysian who are away from Malaysia tend to make it a big day. Counting down at clubs and a Merdeka Dinner. Its that necessary?

I'm proud to be a Malaysian to be honest. Especially I'm at a foreign country now, who can speak 3 different language that actually make us more stands out then the rest nationality. But hay, we don't live on top of the tree. =.=''

Not least, MSA-RMIT has to had a Merdeka Celebration. That's an event that we wouldn't missed out every year. Same for this year. The 50 years of Independent day of Malaysia.

Its not just a simple dinner. We were asked to stand up straight and sang Negaraku. The funniest part is all of us are facing the door while singing, people who ever passed by the restaurant naturally turned their head towards us. Paiseh sia!! Quiz time. I knew its not gonna be so fun to me. Why?? Its all about history of Malaysia. I failed all my Sejarah subject in high school leh.

Alot of thanks to Azera. The night wont be as so amaze without all of her effort.

My 21st had been a great fun!! Endless celebration. Thanks to my family and friends who had made my b'day such special and unforgettable. Muakss* Muakss*
On my B'day eve, Luke had prepared a very 'luxury' dinner for me. 3 course meal of lobsters!!! The best meal I ever had in my life. You wouldn't imagine how nice it was. Not a normal lobster where u eat the whole lot. With a lobster, he made it into a 3 nice dishes.

On 30th of June
Early the morning, my beloved 大姐 touched down all the way from Malaysia just to wish me Happy Birthday in person on my big day! I couldn't sleep the whole night waiting for her. Not only that!! I know she'll bring lots of present for me which she did!!!
All of us (my dad,mum,sisters and brother) went shopping the whole morning after arrival of Miki. Then here goes my celebration that we wouldn't miss out when anyone of our b'day.

Golden Key

When we approach to the age of 21st. The cake we blow are not a round or square shape anymore. Instead, its much elegance and 'stylish' with a shape of Key!!Symbolize as a point that at the age of 21st. Key represent the freedom and independent to the real world and society. No longer relay on our parents or as in a more exciting way!!We are eligible to enter Casino legally. Well,as for most of the western country, the key of independent is on the age of 18th.
I didn't have a Golden Key shape of cake, neither a golden key of necklace where normally our parents or grandparents would give as a 21st gift.
Early this year, I received a letter from school, Congrats on my outstanding academic achievement in 2006, which has placed me in the top 15% of undergraduate students in my uni. Well, I wouldn't say I'm one of the nerd in my class,neither a hard working,smart or intelligent student. Lucky I suppose. After all, I did pretty good. Wanna thanks my mates which we have been spending time studied together. Without them, I would have done pretty bad myself.
So yeah. I was invited to attend the Golden Key Chapter Induction Ceremony which held at Storey Hall.
Wasn't expecting that much of peoples turns up. But the hall is pretty unique. A Greeny building.

Canberra Season 2

PREVIOUSLY on Canberra @ Hotel Heritage...

As I promised, here are the photos we took on the 1st day of our trip way to Canberra. This is the only interesting place that is worth of jotting down. The rest mainly just stopping at public toilet. Still,don't be upset, we managed to shot some nice pictures too. After all we are excited of the trip.Lovely daddy,woke up early in the morning and be our 'driver'. Hahaha

Glenrowan @ where Ned Kelly was arrested. Apparently this picture looks more like he is arresting somebody else. But that is how the prisoner have to dress up in home-made plate metal armour and helmet. And he was hanged at Melbourne Gaol. He is Australia's famous bushranger, and to many, a folk hero. Early this year, MSA has organized a trip to Melbourne Gaol where we observed the real prison where Ned Kelly was hanged and his 'room'.
Lunch @ Macass. Wasn't a filling lunch but still..better than plan sandwiches. No picture taken from the crappy dinner I mention we had taken in Canberra that night. Burned off our appetite.

Oh..gosh..we really do deserve some good food. These 2days, we already had twice Macass. So sicked of it till now I'm back in Melbourne. Anti-Macass.
This is so called 'food' or good meal. We had planned that once we reached Sydney we gonna get the best steamboat in town. And yes!!We are having it!!
Give all of u a tip, when you at some country that you not familiar with and you really wanna taste their local best food. Ask from the lobby receptionist. They really do know where you can get the best and the one you are really looking for.

2007 Sem 1 Break

Every story has the end. Whether or not is a happy ending or not its depends on how the story flow. Mine holidays has it ends too. Just a blink of eyes, 2nd semester of the year begin soon. Holidays always good. No textbooks. No assignment. No exams. Usually during the holidays, I would just spending most of my time at home on lining, watching series or hang out once or twice with friends and of course works too. This time, is my greatest and fantastic holidays ever. I played so hard till I don't manage to keep my blog up to date. Very short holidays though, ONLY 3 weeks!! God,just like lightning. Basically the
1st week - Being a tour guiding Desmond and Johnpaul, the 2 dude from Perth around Melbourne,so is more like venturing in Melbourne. Then
2nd week - Continuously B'day Celebration. None stop the entire week.
3rd/last week - Canberra-Sydney trip.
Well, apart from that. I participated as a volunteer on the MASCA National Games and Conferences 2007. I am suppose to be an umpire of the badminton games since I'm not familiar with the games and rules,luckily there's Min from NSW is there to help me up. I ended up being a lines-woman for the 1st few games and Min handed the position back to me once I am confidence that I managed to handle it myself. Wasn't a pleasant or successful volunteering job but I did try my best to be. Haha!!

Canberra @ Hotel Heritage

Hey guys, guess where am I now? Canberra-Australia Capital City!!!WOW....what a great trip. Hell NOOO...is not like KL. Captical City gave people the impression of busy & happening town. You are absolutely wrong. Is a total small little village whic is far worst than malacca. Well at least my home town has night market. Miss all the mamak!
All the way from Melbourne to Canberra. It tooks up the whole day. Well thats the result of wanting to save few hundred dollars of not taking airplane. We took up a 4 days 3 night trip. Oh, before I further on,you guys must be wondering why I mention 'we'. Of course I'll never gonna leave my 2 younger lovely sisters at Melbourne by themselve and enjoying this vacation. Haha...what a lovely sister I am.jk..too bad my elder sister couldn't join us because she has to fly back to M'sia this sunday. Dajie...we will still miss you and enjoy your part too.
Back to the trip, a 4 days 3 nights tour. A night in Canberra and 2 nights in Sydney.No no,that's not the end. Extended another 2 more nights in Sydney!!Shopping!Can't miss that out and flying back to Melbourne on thursday late evening. Overall, Sydney is the main part. Since we haven't been to Canberra, so decided why don't we stop at Canberra for a night and visit some popular landmark. I doubt we will purposely pay a vist all the way here another time. Is a long journey, departed from Melbourne early 8am guess what time we reached?6pm!!!Stop at few places and took fair bit of picture on the way too. Maccass for lunch and a crappy chinese cuisine dinner. Barely eat anything..gonna have bit of cup noodles in the room later. Luckily I have my new ipod nano from John & Des for my b'day to company me along the journey also with a novel about matchbreaker bridesmaid. Interesting? Err..not too bad. Quite dislike the author herself. Fall asleep and had a terrible dream about the story..and worst it wakes me up in not a very nice condition. Raining day!!what a day! Sigh...
The weather is very sad to mention about. Its gonna be raining for the entire week according to the weater forecast. *Cross finger*

Since everybody has been soo eager to see my latest post up, I decided to leave a quick post before I go off to Sydney this Saturday. Really looking forward for the trip. Have been planning over the last semester before exams. A 6 days 5 nights trip. Heading to Canberra-Capital City of Australia for the 1st night and will be spending the whole trip in Sydney. How's my 21st???
Few months ago, my boss and staff already booked me on that day itself. Party at Celine's house!! My 'supervisor' haha...she's soo nice that organized my 21st b'day party at her house. Her house was nicely decorated with balloon n colourful ribbons. And not least nicee food too!!

Desmond and John, the two dude from Perth have took away all my holidays tour guiding them. I don't know many places, and none of the history of Melbourne. Only if you ask me where is the best place to shop. Yeah!! Well, at least i still know a few places that they shouldn't missed out. So where shall I bring them?

St Kilda Beach!! Sad to say that its summer. No bikinis laying on the beach, no hot guy , not even people. Empty and loneliness beach. We make ourself home. The whole beach is ours.Relaxing

Times out! Its Game Time!! A fully whole day out was fun and amazing although its freezing like hell and rain abit. But we had a great time.

1. The Chocolate Heaven

2 Ice-Choc, cup of hot Choc, Choc Ice-cream, Mouse Martini and a latte

for 4 of us!! So much chocolate and we barely finish it. The guys were saying 'oh, we can help up don't worry' and we ordered it. Love chocolate!! Well, we ate all them in the end though~wahaha

2. Signed up a NEW mobile!!
Finally I made my choice. Its not Sony Ericsson and definitely NOT Motorola again!! yea~its Nokia E65. Its as slim as V3, slide phone, I like it. 2.0 megapixel camera sounds good enough. Apparently its a business phone, but it does looks good although I don't do much email checking.

I'll definitely love and happy playing around with it

3. Lazzat
Yes!! Again...since all of us miss Malaysian food soo much especially curry and rendang....roti canai. arghhh....talk about Malaysian food..miss 'O jien'(stir fried oyster and egg) alloooot.

4. Shopping is gals best friends SAME as guys too
Hang around with JohnPaul, the lazy holiness guy(He referred himself that!!). Haha, he's fun to hang out with cause he loves shopping too, or else you'll see his dead bloody sleepy fish eyes. jk (hope he won't read this :P) they were too tired, barely sleep since yesterday touched down from Perth.

5. Gambling
Hold on! Wasn't me!! This two guys were saying 'hey Minnie, lets go to see the fire during the night' duh~ Its not all about the fire along Yarra River at Crown?! Crown CASINO is the main part. Oh well, for fun and just a few dollars is fine.

6. Pool
That's the whole thing I've been waiting for the day! Talked online with Kamosen yesterday. He lives just right opposite my house and we haven't seen each other for ages. I mean seriously, for about a year!! Well, he tends to spy me from his window to mine sometime I believe. Finding out am I safe at home all night. Nuh, I made that up.:)
We were supposed to call each other to confirm about the day. Text him, got no reply thought he might be busy. Till about 9, failed to call him. Shit!! I'm still in the city. He was so sweet that he waited at his house watching tv while waiting for us. He changed his number that's why and haven't got my contact. He actually looked up the thick yellow book. Rang but I wasn't at home, still he waited. He's the tallest of my friend from Africa. Good looking, nice and friendly. Told him that my friend from Perth came to visit and offered to bring them to play pool. Once they got into his car, 'Minnie, I love your friend'. Easy going guy.

Starting Point

There's always a starting point for everything we do. Here you go, my ever first post!I'm Minnie, a student who's doing chemical engineering....STOP!! Before everyone cancel the page because it sounds like I'm going for an interview giving all those 'lame' plot folio of myself to reader. Lets make it more casual.Well, I'm not sure where i got this idea of blogging. I always remember this friend of mine told me that I express myself much better by writing it than saying. I guess?? Will find out after my few posting. What get me started? I've been viewing others blog very frequently lately and it already becomes to a daily routine for me. Jotting down comments and messages without my own blog site is sucks. I told myself I'll definitely make myself one after the exams and today at dinner, I assure he'll catch up my blog once he's back from M'sia. He's gonna link me to his. So ya, I have to do what I've said! Here u go! I made it! Also, I have lovely and kind friends that could help me up with the template and lots of other stuff which I have no clue. Thanks Sabrina and Flanegan. Thats much more to learn!! Apart from that, apparently I go anywhere with my camera and the best part is shoot down every single moment and places that I've been as a memory. So I thought instead of keeping it to myself, I'll share my experiences and happiness that I been through. Its gonna be lots of fun.

As I mention that I had my last paper today. *phew* finally its over. Oh well, the exams weren't that bad overall. Comparing to last few semester, i did less revision and spent most of my time playing and watching movies. Oh guys, there's lots of nice movie and i found a good site where u can watch it straight away without downloading it simply just sign up. You'll love it! After all the studying with few others fellow, I came to the conclusion that its not about passing it, you have to understand what you are learning from the notes not study blindly by remembering all the steps and equations. Its much easier by understanding and ziop..its all in your mind in one go. And not least, do as much pass exams. Finally, the craziest semester we had come to a fully stop! Screaming and yelling outside the hall was sooo good. Will not forget the jumping n running of joy on the way to the tram stop though at such a cold weather, remembering that while we were walking after previous the 2 exams..was freezing like hell. Hugging each other and wrapped ourself with winter scarf keeping ourself warm. Today, we don't even feel the cold. It was soo fun!!
The smiles are such natural. There's one Chinese term as direct translate 'see teeth doesn't see eyes'. All the hard work!

This is not the end. We took tram, step away from MSAC(Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Center) and all the way to the city. The next journey began! KOKO Black is our first stop. Too bad its Full House! We'll go some other time. Now....where to eat, where to eat? Chinese? Italian? Japanese?? oh..not least, is my son b'day last Sunday. Was too busy with exams, sorry son not that we missed you out! He's the boss, so he has the 'powder' to choose what to eat. Shark fin house he insisted. Well, its still early when we got there. Asked us to come back after 15 minutes. Hey, we were starving. Keep walking and I saw 'SEOUL'. The one I had for my last year b'day. Yeap..BBQ guys? hopped in!Annoy ha se yo~we saw Rain!(pic of him..sob sob). Get ourself sit, order and start BBQ-ing. Achini and Thilini over the other side busy practicing with the chopstick where Alex seems to be quite proficient on it after the whole noodle eating which he refused to use spoon to eat RICE when i offered him. And he said he'll never go to noodles house again!!haha..I'll post up the video of him eating noodles with chopstick next time.LOL
